    Allow at least 4 hours if you go to the end of SRKG 1 in Goshen. The trails can be walked with snowshoes in winter, but a picnic on White Ledges on a warm summer or fall day can’t be beat. Here is a slide show of some of the photos along Trail 1 of the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway.   The Monadnock Sunapee Greenway is a 48 mile trail from peak to peak that runs vertically up the spine of South Western New Hampshire. It sat patiently on my bucket list for years while I overlooked it for larger accomplishments, but after returning from the AT and living the caged life of a normal working apartment dweller and contributing.

    First, let me give full credit to the SRK Greenway Trail Guide () It is an excellent detail resource for locating and hiking the 14 trails designated as the mile Sunapee, Ragged, Kearsarge Greenway Trail. To date, I have hiked five of these trails, and all clearly marked with a trapezoidal white and green blaze, the “trademark” of the SRK Greenway Trail. Join Tim Eliassen and Dave Gardner for a hike up and over Mount Sunapee. Starting in Newbury Harbor, follow the Greenway Trail #1 up and over Mt Sunapee to the Old Province road in Goshen.       The Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway is a mile loop of hiking trails, the Greenway circles the Lake Sunapee area and connects Mount Sunapee, Ragged Mountain and Mount Kearsarge. Down again we went until we reached the intersection of the trails to Ragged’s highest peak, Old Top, and the continuation of the SRK Greenway down to the Section. Highlands Trail Guide Introduction.
